What is LCR Activate?

LCR Activate is a 3-year ERDF co-funded initiative led by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in partnership with FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) and LCR LEP (Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership).


The LCR Activate team will provide digital and creative businesses with a combination of dedicated technical and business support for product development and commercialisation, using big science and new technologies.


To run intensive computer applications efficiently.


Bespoke solutions for complex problems using data mining, machine learning and language patterns.


Solving problems through employing remote servers to manage data.

Who Can Benefit?

LCR Activate supports digital and creative small and medium-sized businesses in the Liverpool City Region by providing access to new technologies and expertise for the development of new products or tools.


This includes any company in the Liverpool City Region (the local authority areas of Liverpool, Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) that is a small to medium-sized enterprise by EU definitions (employing less than 250 people, turning over less than 50,000,000 euros and with a balance sheet of under 43,000,000 euros) that operates in the Digital and Creative sector.
