Name: Findout Digital
Findout Digital was founded in August 2018 by Ben Sprung and Elisse Jones who – after a working in London in the digital space – decided to make roots in the Northern tech landscape. The driving force behind Findout Digital, the first User Research lab of its kind in Liverpool, is to get SMEs to see that value in user research labs to ensure they are testing their product before they bring it to market to understand its usability, saving time and money in the long run.
After moving back to the North, Ben and Elisse needed to grow and expand their presence in Liverpool City Region. The entrepreneurs had pre-existing contacts within the city, one being Activate alumni, Make Thread, who recommended the programme to Findout Digital.
Despite a solid financial basis, Findout Digital needed to quickly expand their network and make their name known in the region. Partnered with Paul Marrow from LJMU, Findout Digital were introduced to LCR companies occupying the technology and digital sector, to expand their understanding of future tech. With a growing network and knowledge of regional industry trends, Findout Digital were able to expand their offering and target specific clients within the region.
Following Paul’s support, Findout Digital met Capture VR. Capture VR were keen to move into the property and holiday market and recognised that Findout Digital could help them reduce the risks before investing and potentially losing money. By testing concepts such as concept barriers, Capture VR have saved a year’s worth of inhouse research and are now a year ahead of planning. Following the support from Activate, Findout Digital has been able to expand as a business and gain clients such as Deliveroo and Footasylum. The business is working towards acquiring clients from London using its pre-existing network.
Following Activate’s support, Ben Sprung, CEO of Findout Digital comments,
“The support from Activate has helped us develop a presence and stronghold within Liverpool City Region, which in turn has resulted in gaining clients and potential future clients. We have been able to work with businesses such as Deliveroo and Footasylum and have plans to attend the NUX conference in November with a view to showcase our technology offering and secure more collaborations with aspiring SMEs and established businesses.”
