Funded by Innovate UK and delivered by Enterprise Europe Network, the programme will comprise of innovative SMEs involved in next generation services such as Insurance (InsurTech), Legal Services (LawTech), Accountancy as well as Technology suppliers into these sectors that are looking to develop strong international partnerships for future collaboration and commercialisation in Singapore.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their technologies at Singapore Fintech Festival & SWITCH (SFF x SWITCH), learn best practice about doing business in Singapore and connect with potential collaborators through pre-matched 1-to-1 meetings.
Business representatives will work with a designated account manager and adviser to support a structured programme encompassing three main phases –
- Getting ready for the market
Pre-visit and in-country briefings providing market information, advice on how to do business in Singapore, training on how to improve your pitch and articulate your value proposition and how to protect your IP
- Visiting the market
Exclusive access to the Singaporean digital economy and next generation services sectors and the opportunity to meet key companies and research organisations. Targeted, pre-arranged meetings at organised matchmaking events.
- Exploiting the opportunity
Utilising a tailored Innovate to Succeed approach, comprising one to one support from a specialist Innovation/ Internationalisation adviser to follow up and take advantage of the opportunities identified.
Singapore is frequently used as a safe gateway to Asia due to its high GDP per capita, healthcare, transport, infrastructure quality and technology adoption, plus an attractive tax system, a familiar legal framework and the ease of doing business in English.
Singapore is ranked 4th in the Global Finance Centres Index (GFCI) ranking of financial centres and has a stated ambition to become the LegalTech and FinTech centre of the world.
This mission is looking to explore potential opportunities for the UK (and Next Generation Services ISCF challenge) to learn from the Singapore model and benefit from cooperation.

Innovate UK and the Enterprise Europe Network will organise and fund flights, hotels, and in-country logistics for all participants on the visit to the country. On acceptance to the programme a commitment fee of £500 will be obtained from each successful company which will be returned after their involvement in the international mission and agreeing an action plan post visit. Non-attendance of any part of the programme after formal acceptance may result in forfeiting some or all of the fee.
To participate in this programme your business must be a UK SME.

There is a competitive process to participate in the programme following a two-stage evaluation process, in which only the best 15 applicants will be successful.
