Grow Your Creative and Digital Business with LCR Activate UX, Marketing and R&D Workshops

FACT is delighted to announce a programme of intensive, participatory LCR Activate workshops that will be delivered association with The Extraordinary Club and award-winning, creative agency Karmarama.

These workshops are offered as part of LCR Activate, a 3-year ERDF co-funded initiative led by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in partnership with FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) and LCR LEP (Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership).


Over the next 18 months in partnership with FACT, The Extraordinary Club will shape and deliver a programme of specialist workshops, tailored and developed for the creative and digital sector. Founded by award-winning business leaders Dawn Paine and Angela McClelland, The Extraordinary Club is a company committed to inspiring creative and digital SMEs to be extraordinary and grow through business support and consultancy.


The workshops will launch in March 2018 at FACT with multiple sessions focusing on prototyping, UX testing and marketing. Workshop attendance is exclusively for SMEs working with LCR Activate – for more information on how to receive business support, please contact the team.


If you’re a business that is developing a new product or adopting new technology to an existing one, the user experience (UX) workshops will provide real time problem solving in from Karmarama’s industry leaders Tim McEvily, Experience Design Director and Executive Experience Directors, Amardeep Shakhon and Gurmit Shakhon. Together, they have over 40 years of experience in creating digital products including; designing The Guardian’s first ever website and creating industry leading digital products and platforms for BT, Costa Express, M&S Bank and RBS.

Supporting market readiness and commercialisation of new products and services will be tackled during a series of innovation in marketing workshops, delivered by digital product specialists: Dan Moran, Head of Product Management, Andrew Child, Head of Product Strategy, and Ryan Hall, Managing Director, Creative Products.
