It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), led by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and run in partnership with the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) and the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.

Through the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Liverpool Business School, it provides support for understanding and implementing the best approaches to extract knowledge and business value from data, for network and information security and computer games technology, whilst also providing business & commercialisation guidance.

LCR LEP

Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership is the business-led, strategic partnership responsible for driving economic growth in the city region and is responsible for engaging digital and creative businesses with the programme.

The Hartree Centre is a strategic partner for Activate and the UK’s foremost high-performance computing facility. It can work with businesses to find how to make the most out of their data on an ongoing basis and use it to gain a competitive advantage.

FACT

FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) is a leading visual arts organisation, based in Liverpool. We support, produce and present excellent, world-class visual art that embraces and explores creative media and digital technology. Until April 2019 FACT was a delivery partner of the programme, and is now a strategic partner for Activate.
