The programme enables users to complete CPD at a time that fits around their own schedules and commitments.

 Approaching Activate

The Webinar Vet’s CEO Anthony Chadwick was first introduced to Activate at a Liverpool City Region event and discussed how to harness big data to improve the existing platform.

 Partner support

Prior to working with LCR Activate, The Webinar Vet website collected a lot of valuable data, however it wasn’t sophisticated enough to analyse that data, which was ultimately halting growth. In the age of predictive platforms and algorithmsthe company needed an intuitive platform that spoke to the user and gave actionable insights to help to inform the business model.

The Webinar Vet worked closely with Activate partner Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) to troubleshoot what was going on with the existing website. The team advised that the website could be optimised with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate valuable insights that inform how customers behave and interactThe new approach aimed to do two things; show users what they needed to see based on algorithmsanalysing user patterns and trends.

The Webinar Vet predicts that this AI-driven solution will double its user base and increase subscriptions as a result. The support from Activate has also opened doors for the company to apply for other growth packages, such as the Scale-Up Programme through InnovateUK

 What’s next

The long-term goal for The Webinar Vet is to sustain its growth in the UK market, while expanding its reach internationally, too.

Luke Curtis, Financial Director at The Webinar Vet, said: “We went through the Activate programme at a crucial stage in our growth plan. The LJMU team has been pivotal in opening us up to new and advanced technologies that will increase our reach by at least 50%, allowing us to compete on an international scale.”
